Received a request from a cell phone shop in Modesto, California, for their air conditioning not responding. Tech arrived onsite and inspected the equipment. Reset the thermostat to cooler temperature for the back room, per manager request. Thermostat was not responding, traced issue to a tripped smoke detector for the backroom unit. Spoke to the manager, some food had been burned recently in the room. Reset detector and cycled units. Detector didn't trip again, all other equipment working well.
Dispatched our Modesto CA PM tech to a finance office. Inspected all three Leibert air conditioners, cleaned reusable filters and found unit #2 with a failed compressor contactor that will need to be replaced. Only unit affected, will quote repairs to customer.
AC technician arrived at a Modesto, CA, to complete approved repairs on a Carrier air conditioner. The unit was low on refrigerant, and needed a full leak search and repair. Located the leak at the discharge valve. Repaired and reset valve, verified system was leak free. Recharged the unit with 410A refrigerant. Tested system, unit is working but disconnect is not functioning. Bypassed the disconnect switch temporarily, will quote for additional repairs to customer ASAP.
Modesto area AC technician arrived at a finance service company for scheduled preventative maintenance. The tech performed their standard 180 PM, including cleaning the washable filters on the Leibert AC units. Found the server room unit with an iced up TXV, which he noted and reported to the client. All equipment cooling at this time.
RESSAC technician dispatched to a cash advance shop in Modesto, CA, for the site not cooling. Found that the unit was iced over at the evaporator coil, system was restricted due to extremely clogged filters. Tech defrosted the unit and removed the filters, replacing with clean filters. Site needs recurring maintenances, will alert customer.
